I heard something I liked today. It was almost instinctive upon hearing, but I hadn't thought of it before: Music is humanity's first language and pure emotion can come close to being expressed through music. We only need a more complicated language when we enter society. And the more complex our new language becomes, the more distant we become from our first. I don't know what others think of this. Maybe most already thought this or maybe it's an absurd, fanciful thought, but to me it didn't seem that far out there. In fact, this statement clicked in my mind upon hearing it. It's difficult for me to explain but I feel that this is right.
